Location: Paignton. Contract: Permanent, Full Time. Working hours per week: 40. Salary: £14.17 - £14.99 per hour. Closing Date: Tuesday 30 September 2025.
Responsibilities
* Leading shifts and deputising for the Registered Manager where required
* Ensuring team members are up to date with mandatory learning and assisting with their development
* Communicating with the on-site team and implementing individual care plans
* Maintaining accurate written records in logs, continuation sheets and files for monitoring and evaluation
* Contributing to team and staff meetings to facilitate communication and staff development
* Providing support and care to the young people within our services
* Encouraging young people in preparation to re-enter education or engage in current schooling
* Traveling with young people to and from School or College
* Preparing meals and maintaining the home (cleaning, laundry, etc.) to ensure a positive environment
* Organising and facilitating social activities
Requirements
* Must hold a full UK driving licence
* Desire to earn a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent
* 12 months senior experience in a Residential setting is highly desirable (applications from those at the start of their journey are encouraged)
* DBS and reference checks will be undertaken in line with government regulations and safer recruitment practices
