Role Overview
Band 6 CT Rotational Radiographer – permanent contract. The post involves working across the Slough Community Diagnostic Centre (Upton Park), Wexham Park Hospital, Heatherwood Elective Centre and other FHFT North Radiology sites (St Mark’s, King Edward VII Hospital). The role is ideal for an experienced, highly skilled Radiographer with a passion for CT imaging and a desire to develop leadership skills. It offers exposure to advanced CT technology, diverse clinical cases, and opportunities for career progression within a supportive, innovative environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide safe and high‑quality CT imaging at all assigned sites, including nights, weekends and extended days.
* Supervise, mentor and appraise less‑experienced CT Radiographers, apprentice radiographers and students.
* Assist in the training and supervising of radiographers and RDAs across six CT scanners.
* Support the CT Lead Radiographer in departmental delivery and maintain equipment safely.
* Contribute to service development, individual and team objectives, and participation in the departmental out‑of‑hours shift system.
* Work at all FHFT North Radiology sites: Wexham Park Hospital, Heatherwood Elective Centre, St Mark’s, King Edward VII Hospital, and the newly opened Slough CDC.
Qualifications and Experience
• Experienced CT Radiographer with independent working and accountability.
• Competence in supervising, mentoring and appraising staff and students.
• Proven ability to work flexibly across multiple sites and shift patterns.
