Haunton Hall Care Home is located in the rural village of Haunton and set in a spectacular building housing residential, dementia and nursing units.
We are looking for caring individuals who would like the reward of seeing elderly people happy and fulfilled in their later life. No experience is necessary as all training will be given. Due to expansion, we are recruiting for full and part time care assistants for days.
Responsibilities
* Assisting residents with personal care duties such as bathing, dressing, toileting and incontinence care. Providing the highest standards of care.
* Supporting the Nurse or Senior Care Assistant to complete monthly and weekly checks to monitor the health of our residents.
* Supporting at mealtime; serving meals and transferring residents to the dining room. This might involve supporting them to walk, transferring them in a wheelchair or using a hoist.
* Attending planned activities; assisting the team, repositioning, providing care as necessary and taking part in day trips outside the Village (day shifts only)
* Repositioning residents to ensure they are comfortable and supported.
* Admin duties; updating food, fluid and stool charts, supplementary files, daily notes and care plans.
* Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
* Document client progress and any changes in condition accurately in accordance with organisational policies.
* Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Requirements
* Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential.
* Basic IT skills for maintaining records and documentation.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with residents, families, and colleagues.
* A compassionate approach with a genuine desire to help others.
