Year 1 Teacher (Full-Time) Location: Kirkby, Merseyside (L33) Start Date: September 2026 Pay Rate: £135 – £232.56 per day Role Type: Long-Term Teaching Personnel are currently working in partnership with a welcoming and community-focused Roman Catholic primary school in Kirkby to recruit a committed and experienced Year 1 Teacher to start in September. This school is well-regarded locally, known for its strong leadership, inclusive ethos and commitment to pupil development, both academically and personally. The Role You will take full responsibility for a Year 1 class, delivering high-quality lessons that support pupils transitioning from EYFS into KS1. A key part of this role is delivering effective phonics sessions using Read Write Inc, so prior training and confidence with this scheme is essential. As part of the recruitment process, an observation lesson in Read Write Inc will be required prior to placement.
