This is a *Manchester* based role with an excellent immediate start within a Global Technology Client that is working on *Writing and maintaining clear technical documentation in Confluence*.
About the Role
Our client is looking for a Technical Author to support their cloud transformation. You will document and communicate projects as teams:
* Migrate from on-premises systems to AWS Cloud
* Build new cloud-native applications in AWS
You will organise the Confluence knowledge base, create user-friendly documentation, and help implement taxonomies and labelling for easy access.
Key Responsibilities
* Write and maintain clear technical documentation in Confluence
* Support cloud migration and cloud-native projects with technical content
* Review existing documentation for accuracy and usability
* Define and implement taxonomy, metadata, and labelling strategies
* Collaborate with engineers and product teams to capture technical knowledge
* Use Jira to manage documentation tasks
Skills and Experience
Essential:
* Experience as a Technical Author or Technical Writer
* Strong knowledge of AWS Cloud and cloud-native concepts
* Experienced with Confluence and Jira
* Ability to explain technical topics clearly
* Skilled at managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
Desirable:
* Experience in large-scale digital transformations
* IT infrastructure, DevOps, or cloud engineering background
