Community Events Host
We are looking for volunteers to help raise awareness and promote Carers First by hosting an information stand or stall at community events.
Responsibilities
1. Helping to plan & organise events.
2. Assisting at events, which includes setting up displays, handing out leaflets, engaging with the public about Carers First and our services, making refreshments, and ensuring relevant paperwork is completed (e.g. Risk Assessments, PL Certificates).
3. Booking equipment internally (e.g. gazebo, table, chairs, tablecloths).
4. Assisting with promoting on social media and taking photographs.
Skills
This role will suit volunteers who:

2. Enjoy being in the community.
3. Are flexible with hours and travel.
What we need from you:
1. A willingness to learn and become part of our team.
2. A positive and fun attitude.
3. As part of our Volunteer Recruitment process, we will ask for references and complete a DBS check.
Training and Support
You will receive:
1. Initial training via e-learning.
2. Mandatory training in Safeguarding of Adults & Children and GDPR.
3. Opportunities for ongoing training, usually provided online, in other topics.
4. A supervisor who will provide ongoing support.
5. Reimbursement for expenses incurred as part of this role, including travel and parking.
