About the Technical Services Manager
The role is dual‑focused: as Technical Lead, you will drive the development of our hydraulic workshop’s service and repair offerings, lead a team of technicians, and shape new capability. In Business Development, you will partner with our branch network to upsell added‑value solutions and services actively.
You will work 50/50 office or site‑based and spend the remainder of the time engaging customers across the UK. The position offers an attractive salary commensurate with ambition and the opportunity for significant career growth.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and mentor a team of 6 technicians.
* Understand current service offerings and develop strategies for potential growth opportunities.
* Build relationships across the branch network, providing technical expertise and assistance.
* Visit and build relationships with new and existing customers.
* Provide technical advice and support on our services and solutions.
* Manage the sales cycle from initial contact to closing deals, including presentations and demonstrations.
* Collaborate with the wider branch network on quotations and enquiries.
What We're Looking For
* Strong technical background in fluid power and hydraulics.
* Confident, engaging, and collaborative communication style.
* Experience managing and developing a small team.
* Ability to handle multiple priorities within a dynamic environment.
* Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Recruitment Process

* Face‑to‑face final stage interview (1 hour focused on skills, knowledge, experience, and motivation).
