Mobile Mechanical & Electrical Engineer
Location: Mobile role IP7
Salary: Up to £45,000 + Company Car / Allowance Contract: Permanent, Full TimeHays is working with a leading defence-sector FM provider to recruit a skilled and motivated Mobile M&E Engineer. This is an exciting opportunity to join a team that delivers essential maintenance and technical services across key military sites - playing a crucial role in ensuring safety, compliance, and high-quality service delivery.
The RoleAs a Mobile M&E Engineer, you'll provide technical expertise across multiple sites, ensuring all work is delivered safely, efficiently and in line with JSP375 and Safe Systems of Work. Your responsibilities will include:
* Delivering planned and reactive M&E services across three military locations
* Producing high-quality Risk Assessments and Method Statements
* Assessing the competence of Skilled Persons and providing coaching and supervision
* Supporting project work and advising on estate safety, compliance and technical issues
* Liaising with stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery
* Identifying opportunities to reduce corrective actions and support carbon-reduction goals
* Participating in an out-of-hours on-call rota
* Ensuring maintenance and operational standards meet regulatory and contractual requirements
What You'll BringWe're looking for a highly capable engineer with:
* Full Mechanical or Electrical qualification
* AP tickets (Electrical or Mechanical) - desirable, but training provided for the right candidate.
* Strong knowledge of Safe Systems of Work and JSP375
* Experience working independently across multiple sites
* Confidence in problem-solving and decision-making
* Experience supervising staff or contractors
* Full UK driving licence
