IT Support Technician (1st Line)
We're currently recruiting for an IT Support Technician to join a growing and supportive IT team. This role is ideal for someone with around two years of hands-on IT support experience who is looking to develop their technical skills in a varied, fast-paced environment.
As the first point of contact for the business, you'll provide 1st line support to users, resolving day-to-day technical issues and escalating more complex problems when required. You'll be involved in a wide range of tasks, from new user setups and laptop configurations to printer installations and occasional off-site firewall installations.
Key Responsibilities
* Act as the initial point of contact for IT support queries via phone, email, and in person
* Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and networking issues
* Provide remote support to users across multiple locations
* Install, configure, and maintain hardware, software, and operating systems
* Log support requests and resolutions
* Maintain accurate records of hardware
* Assist with routine hardware maintenance and software updates
* Provide guidance and training to users on company systems.
Skills & Experience Required
* Experience in an IT support or service desk role
* Experience with Active Directory
* Microsoft 365, SharePoint Online and Power Automate
* Experience managing Sophos Central and antivirus policies
* Microsoft Office applications
* Full UK driving licence (essential)
