We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Maths Teacher to join a well-regarded secondary school in Skipton from April 2026 until the end of the academic year. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate educator to inspire students and contribute to a supportive, forward-thinking department.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver engaging and high-quality Maths lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable).
* Plan, prepare, and assess work in line with curriculum requirements.
* Use a range of teaching strategies to support and challenge learners of all abilities.
* Track and monitor student progress, providing meaningful feedback to pupils and parents.
* Maintain a positive classroom environment that promotes respect, curiosity, and collaboration.
* Contribute to departmental planning, moderation, and meetings.
* Uphold safeguarding responsibilities and promote the welfare of all students.
* Participate in school life, including duties and extracurricular activities where required.
Pre-Requisites
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised UK teaching qualification.
* Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics.
* Experience teaching Maths within a secondary school setting.
* Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
* Ability to differentiate effectively to meet diverse learning needs.
* A proactive, professional, and collaborative approach.
* Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
