We are currently supporting a secondary school in the West Lancashire area who are seeking a driven and committed Teacher of Humanities or RE. This is an excellent opportunity open to both experienced teachers and ECTs.
The role is set to begin as soon as possible and contonue until the end of the academic year. There is potential for either part of full-time.
As a Humanities/RE Teacher, you will be responsible for providing a positive and inclusive learning environment to support the development of all pupils, whilst delivering all aspects of the national curriculum at KS3 and KS4. The right candidate should be able to develop positive relationships with pupils and create engaging lessons. You should be able to integrate efficiently into a new school and quickly settle into and contribute to both the faculty and the wider school community.
Key responsibilities:
* Deliver the RE/Humanities national curriculum at both KS3 and 4
* Support pupils with SEND
* Promote positive behaviour
* Assist with faculty duties as required
* Adhere to school policies and procedures
Essential requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Right to work in the UK
* Experience working within a UK Secondary School setting
* Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
* Ability to deliver age-appropriate and engaging lessons in line with the national curriculum
* Reliable and punctual with a professional attitude
* Enhanced DBS or willing to obtain one
