Heidi was born to make it easy for more and more people to discover the power of the mountains. We burst onto the ski holiday market in 2018 (formally known as Ski Zoom) and have seen exponential growth.
The company came from a desire to fix the lack of flexibility in the winter ski market. We help skiers and mountain lovers discover resorts that are hidden gems alongside the classics, and our clever tech is helping them to do it in a way that suits them best. We’re a youthful, challenger brand, with an awesome culture, and we’re shaking up a very traditional ski/mountain holiday industry.
Looking to the future, we have huge ambitions for growth. In 2024 we grew by 64% and expect to grow even more in 2025. Having come 63rd in the Times top 100 fastest growing UK companies, and shortly after securing £5 million investment, we are in a prime position to achieve our goals. But key to that is also growing the Heidi team with even more brilliant people than we have now. So we are looking for someone who will be fundamental to the success of our vision and is excited to help us drive that forward.
The Role
As Management Accountant, you’ll play a central role in strengthening our core financial processes as we scale. With oversight of our month-end close, cash flow forecasting, and financial statement preparation, you’ll be the backbone of accurate and timely reporting that supports confident business decisions.
This role combines hands-on responsibility with leadership, supporting the day-to-day transactional work of the team while also owning critical month-end tasks and compliance. You’ll be comfortable working with large data sets, navigating multiple systems, and identifying opportunities to improve the way we work — not just within finance, but across the wider business. You’ll partner with the Financial Controller and cross-functional teams to ensure our financial processes are efficient, scalable and future-ready.
This is a brilliant opportunity for someone who enjoys both structure and variety and wants to help shape the finance function of a fast-growing travel business.
What You’ll Be Doing
Month End and Financial Reporting
* Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accurate and timely delivery and sign-off of management accounts

Budgeting, Forecasting & Insight
* Contribute to the budgeting process, reviewing costs and providing analysis
* Analyse performance drivers, variances, and trends across departments and suppliers
* Support the creation of dashboards and visual tools to communicate financial performance effectively
Cash Flow Forecasting
* Prepare and maintain rolling cash flow forecasts, flagging potential risks and identifying opportunities to optimise working capital
* Monitor actual vs forecasted cash performance and provide insight to support decision-making
Compliance & Regulatory Reporting
* Manage financial compliance obligations specific to the travel industry, including reporting to the UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) and other relevant bodies
* Support the annual statutory audit process, preparing schedules and liaising directly with external auditors
* Ensure internal compliance procedures are followed and well-documented
Team Oversight & Support
* Provide day-to-day guidance and oversight to our two Finance Assistants, supporting transactional accuracy and development
* Act as a point of escalation for accounts payable and receivable queries, helping to ensure efficient processes and controls are maintained
Systems & Process Improvement
* Take ownership of reviewing and mapping finance-related processes across the business, from operations through to finance
* Proactively lead cross-functional team initiatives that enhance the flow of financial data to ensure complete and accurate records
* Contribute to strong financial controls and support continuous improvement of policies and processes
What You Will Bring
* Qualified accountant with a minimum of 2 years post-qualified experience
* Strong technical accounting skills with a solid understanding of financial controls and reconciliations
* Hands-on experience of owning month-end close processes and preparing management accounts
* Comfortable managing large volumes of transactional data and navigating multi-currency environments
* Strong systems knowledge with the ability to understand end-to-end business processes and identify improvements
