About the Role
Bank Pharmacy Technician at HMP Wealstun, a category C male prison located near Wetherby, Yorkshire. The pharmacy has its own dispensary and a full team of around 15 staff, including permanent and bank positions.
Hours
9.5 hour days – 07:30 to 17:30. Weekday and weekend availability.
Salary
£21.76 per hour.

Responsibilities
* Ensure patient medical records are maintained to the agreed standard and standard operating procedures are followed.
* Ensure timely administration of medicines and analyse cost‑effective prescribing as per the Health in Justice medicines policy.
* Collaborate to make a difference to all people we support, ensuring the Practice Plus Group is a place where each member feels appreciated, challenged and supported.
* Communicate complex or sensitive information with empathy and understanding to patients.
* Share information about pharmaceutical products, medicines optimisation, drug regimes, medicines legislation, and general health education so that the multidisciplinary health‑care team is appropriately informed.

Qualifications & Requirements
* Legal right to work in the UK; employment offers subject to additional vetting and security checks.
* NVQ Level 3, BTEC, or equivalent qualifications and current registration with the GPhC.
* Relevant post‑qualification experience working in a pharmacy environment and with a multidisciplinary team.
* Ability to work unsupervised while following policy and procedures.
* The ideal candidate will have experience in a hospital, community, or prison environment (not essential).
