Job Summary
We are seeking a Front of House Assistant to join our friendly team at Number 29 Tapas Bar in Richmond, North Yorkshire. Part time position, two or three shift a week, more hours available if required. Flexible shifts to suit your work-life balance.
The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills and a passion for serving local real ales, premium gins, fine wines and homemade tapas.
Previous experience in a similar role is preferred, however full training will be provided for the right candidate.
Some food knowledge would be advantageous but not essential
Pay Scale £10 - £12.25 per hour depending on age and experience, plus excellent tips
Duties
- Greet customers and provide assistance with their enquiries
- Process customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the front end area
- Uphold food safety standards at all times
- Handle transactions and operate the cash register
Experience
- Previous experience in bar work, catering, food preparation, hospitality, or restaurant industry is desirable but not essential
- Knowledge of food safety practices is advantageous
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour
