About the Role
This is a dual-role combining hands-on field service engineering with the supervision of a small technical team (currently 4 engineers). You will split your time between working 50% at the Newport (South Wales) workshop and 50% on-site across the UK, typically involving around 1-2 nights away per week. You'll be responsible for supporting installations, diagnostics, repairs, and ongoing service support, while also guiding and overseeing the work of your team to ensure high service standards and performance.
Requirements:
4. Strong technical background in mechanical or electromechanical systems. Any automation experience would be ideal
5. Previous experience in a supervisory or team lead role
6. Ability to work both hands-on and as a leader
7. Willingness to travel across the UK, with overnight stays (avg. 1.5 nights/week)
8. Based within commutable distance to Newport, South Wales
9. Full UK driving licence
Package & Benefits:
10. £45,000-£50,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
11. Annual bonus of £8,000-£12,000 on average
12. £30 gross travel allowance per trip
