Job title: Systems Engineer - MBSE
Rate: £83 per hour inside ir35
Contract: 6 months+
Location: Reading/Hybrid (2-3 days per week on site)

I am looking for a System Engineer within product delivery for a client of mine who are a leading tech and engineering form operating within the UK defence sector. A fantastic opportunity and drive the digital transformation of engineering at the enterprise level.
What You'll Do:
* Own the delivery and evolution of MBSE digital capabilities-toolchains, model repositories, digital threads, and life cycle environments.
* Translate complex business and engineering needs into clear roadmaps and prioritized backlogs.
* Ensure end-to-end traceability from requirements through models, simulations, and test evidence.
* Drive adoption of model-centric practices, making models the single source of truth across programs.
* Collaborate across engineering, digital, and supplier teams to define standards, governance, and integration strategies.
* Lead vendor engagement, technology evaluation, and innovation in simulation, digital twins, and model verification.
What We're Looking For:
* Proven MBSE delivery experience (SysML/UML, IBM DOORS NG, TeamCenter, simulation orchestration).
* Strong background in aerospace, defence, or regulated safety-critical industries.
* Strategic thinker with exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills.
