My client is a rapidly growing consumer brand at the forefront of innovation in delivering exceptional products and services. As they continue to expand, they are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Internal Communications Change Specialist to join their People team.
Position Overview: The organisation has been through many structural changes and has some more Operational and IT changes ahead. Sadly the wider team has not felt engaged in the changes and lost buy in so a Senior hire is needed to ensure all changes and communications strategies are communicated effectively to the wider team and they personal contribution to the business success is clear and valued. You will also implement a brand new Internal Communications strategy encompassing all elements of internal communications.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and execute comprehensive corporate communication strategies that enhance the company's brand reputation and resonate with external stakeholders, including media, investors, partners, and the community.
* Serve as the primary liaison between the company and external stakeholders, managing relationships and fostering positive interactions to strengthen the company's position in the market.
* Craft compelling messaging and content for various external channels, including press releases, social media, website, and corporate publications, to engage and inform target audiences.
* Drive thought leadership initiatives, positioning key executives as industry experts and spokespeople to elevate the company's profile and influence within the industry.
* Oversee crisis communication strategies and act as a spokesperson during times of heightened scrutiny or challenges, safeguarding the company's reputation and maintaining stakeholder trust.
* Collaborate with HR to ensure employee communication initiatives support engagement, retention, and talent development, reinforcing the company's culture and values.
* Implement channels and platforms to facilitate two-way communication and feedback between leadership and employees, fostering transparency and alignment.
* Lead communication training and development programs to empower employees as brand ambassadors and effective communicators, enhancing the company's reputation both internally and externally.
* Evaluate the effectiveness of communication strategies through data analysis and feedback mechanisms, continuously refining approaches for optimal impact and alignment with organizational goals.
* Manage a team of communication professionals, providing mentorship, guidance, and opportunities for growth to drive excellence in corporate communication efforts.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
* 10+ years of experience in corporate communications, with a demonstrated track record of success in both internal and external communication roles.
* Proven experience in managing media relations, crisis communications, and executive communications.
* Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to diverse audiences.
* Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a keen understanding of business objectives and market dynamics.
* Leadership experience, including managing teams and driving cross-functional collaboration.
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
* Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
