This Specialist Clinical Pharmacist – Rheumatology position is based at Western General Hospital, NHS Lothian. Band 7, 1.0 WTE, 12 months fixed‑term, £50,861–£59,159 per annum (with some weekend and public holiday working).
About The Role
* Lead the Rheumatology biologics service and participate in multidisciplinary meetings, patient education and pharmacist‑led clinics.
* Conduct ongoing service reviews of adult Rheumatology homecare services with the NHS Lothian Homecare team.
* Collaborate closely with the Rheumatology multidisciplinary team to drive innovation and service development.
* Oversee, train and support biologics administrative assistants.
* Prescribe and/or clinically check Rheumatology repeat prescriptions for homecare, IV infusion suites and hospital dispensaries.
* Independent prescribing is not essential; training would be supported for the successful applicant.

About You
* Master of Pharmacy or equivalent and General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) registration.
* Completion of or equivalent competence mapped to the RPS post‑registration foundation pharmacist curriculum.
* Commitment to improving patient care through evidence‑based pharmaceutical services.
* Experience influencing prescribing practices in a patient‑focused environment.
