The Derry/Londonderry office is well embedded locally and is now entering a restructured growth phase, creating an opportunity for senior mechanical leadership to help shape its future direction.

Your new role
The successful individual will play a pivotal role during a period of structural realignment, providing stability, technical authority, andmercial leadership while helping to define the mechanical offering going forward. You will inherit an established operation, with scope to influence team structure, client engagement, and delivery strategy,
1. Providing senior leadership for the mechanical discipline within the Derry/Londonderry office
2. Playing a central role in the restructuring and future direction of the local team
3. Acting as client lead for key accounts, maintaining continuity and strengthening relationships
4. Ensuring high‑quality,mercially sound delivery of mechanical projects from concept topletion
5. Reviewing and approving mechanical designs, calculations, specifications, and reports
6. Contributing to fee proposals, bids, workload forecasting, and resource planning
7. Supporting low‑carbon, energy‑efficient, and sustainable design strategies
8. Mentoring and developing engineers, helping to shape team capability and succession planning
9. Working closely with Directors and senior stakeholders to align the office with wider business objectives
What you'll need to succeed
10. Degree or Master’s in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering
11. Significant post‑qualification experience within a building services consultancy
12. Proven experience operating at Associate Director or Director level, or ready to step into that role
13. Strong technical backgroundbined withmercial and people‑leadership capability
14. Experience managing client relationships and contributing to work‑winning
15. In‑depth knowledge of UK Building Regulations, British Standards, and best practice
16. Confident, crediblemunicator with the authority to lead through change
17. Proficiency in Revit and familiarity with tools such as IES (desirable)
