Overview

Primary Support for Learning Teacher

Carrick Knowe Primary School

Salary: £33,594 - £50,589 (pro-rata for part time)

Hours: 30 per week

Our skilled staff team, engaged families and motivated learners work together to ensure that we live by our school values of Kindness, Respect, Responsibility and Honesty.

We provide high quality learning experiences for over 300 Primary children and 60 Nursery children. Our children's success is a key priority for us. To ensure our approach to meeting the needs of all learners and GIRFEC continues to be of the highest quality, we are looking for a Support for Learning Teacher to join our team. The right person will be nurturing, compassionate and be committed to playing a key role in raising attainment through capacity building, supporting our learners, working collaboratively with both the school team and our partners, and managing individual learning plans.


Employment details

Salaries will be in accordance with the Scheme of Salaries and Conditions of Service for Teaching Staff in School Education.

This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. An unconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
