Contract: Permanent, Full‑Time. Salary: £36,800 per annum, plus company van & fuel card. Hours: Monday–Friday, 40 hours per week. Location: Glasgow (Tannochside).
Position Overview
We’re looking for a skilled and qualified Electrician to join our team in Tannochside. This hands‑on, field‑based role involves the maintenance, repair, and installation of electrical systems across tenanted properties. Positive contribution to the communities we serve is a core value.
Electrical Duties
* Install, service, fault‑find, and maintain electrical systems within the social housing sector.
* Repair, inspect, and test electrical installations and carry out repairs within tenanted properties.
* Repair electrical accessories such as sockets, extractor fans, and light switches.
* Conduct first‑fix and second‑fix electrical installations.
Role Criteria
* NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations – including AM2.
* City & Guilds 18th Edition (or 17th edition that can progress to 18th).
* Full UK driving licence.
* Previous domestic/social housing experience.
* Ability to work alone and as part of a team.
* Inspection and testing qualification 2391 or equivalent (2394/2395) preferred.

Additional Information
All roles require entitlement to work within the UK. Mears does not currently offer visa sponsorship. To drive a Mears vehicle, you must be aged over 21, have held your licence for over 3 months, and have fewer than 9 points.
