We are currently seeking an experienced Groundworks Supervisor to join a dynamic team delivering large-scale infrastructure and renewable energy projects across the UK. This role will be integral to ensuring the successful and efficient delivery of groundworks activities, including trenching, ducting, cabling, drainage, and reinstatement packages.
The position requires extensive travel, with around 70-80% of your time spent working away from home during the week.
Key Responsibilities:
Directly supervise and manage groundworks operatives on site.
Plan and coordinate daily site activities, ensuring adherence to safety regulations, drawings, and specifications.
Collaborate with project managers, site managers, and subcontractors to maintain smooth project execution.
Provide hands-on support when necessary, including setting out, measuring, and reporting on project progress.
Ensure the delivery of works on time, within budget, and to high standards of quality.
Conduct daily briefings, toolbox talks, and ensure Health & Safety compliance on site.
Perform quality checks and sign off completed works.
About You:
Proven experience as a Groundworks Supervisor or Foreman with experience managing teams in the groundworks sector.
Strong knowledge of groundworks activities including trenching, ducting, cabling, drainage, and reinstatement.
Competent in buried service avoidance and health & safety regulations.
Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
Valid CSCS Supervisor card (essential).
SSSTS or SMSTS certification (essential).
Full UK driving licence.
Desirable (not essential):
Experience working on renewable energy projects, such as solar farms.
