Position: Spanish Teacher Location: Norwich Contract: Full-Time Start Date: September Key Stages: KS3–KS5 Spanish Teaching Role in an Independent Girls’ School An independent girls’ school in Norwich is seeking to appoint a Spanish Teacher to join its Modern Foreign Languages department from September. This is a full-time role within a school that values academic excellence, cultural awareness, and language learning. Spanish is a popular subject within the school, with strong uptake at GCSE and A-Level. Students are encouraged to develop confidence in communication and a wider understanding of Spanish-speaking cultures. About the Role You will teach Spanish across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, and Key Stage 5, delivering lessons that develop students’ speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills. Students will build vocabulary, improve grammatical accuracy, and strengthen their confidence in written and spoken communication. You will prepare students for GCSE and A-Level Spanish examinations, supporting them in developing analytical skills, fluency, and exam technique. You will work collaboratively within the Languages department to maintain high standards of teaching and assessment. Key Responsibilities Teach Spanish across KS3, KS4, and KS5 Deliver engaging lessons focused on language development and communication Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level Spanish examinations Assess student work and provide detailed feedback Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records Contribute to departmental planning and curriculum development Support enrichment and cultural activities related to languages Promote positive behaviour and engagement in lessons The School Environment This independent girls’ school in Norwich provides a structured and academically focused environment with smaller class sizes and high expectations for student achievement.
