Role Overview:
* Location: Hybrid (Liverpool – 1–2 times per month on-site)
* Package: Up-to £150,000 + Bonus + Share Options
* Industry: Defence, AI, Software, Sensing Technology
What You’ll Be Doing:
* Setting and executing the company’s strategic direction in a pivotal growth phase
* Owning commercial growth — from building customer pipelines to securing strategic partnerships
* Leading sales hands-on in early stages, then building a high-performance commercial team
* Working closely with the CTO to shape a market-aligned product roadmap
* Taking the lead on funding, investment, and financial planning
* Ensuring robust governance, cybersecurity, and compliance with defence and export controls
* Creating a culture of innovation, integrity, and high performance across the business
Main Skills Needed:
* Executive leadership experience within defence, deep-tech, or high-security environments
* Proven ability to scale early-stage or high-growth tech ventures
* Strong commercial instincts and a record of delivering measurable results
* Working knowledge of UK MOD, R&D funding, and defence procurement cycles
* Sector knowledge in radar, EW, sonar, or autonomous systems
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
* UK national (SC Clearance preferred or eligibility required)
* Degree essential; postgraduate qualifications a plus
