Day hours are £17.23 per hour
Sleep in hours £12.21 per hour
Hours: 1 x 12-hour day shift every week and a 1 x 10- hour sleep in every other week.

Hello, I am a gentleman with a diagnosis of Transverse Myelitis, and I have a tracheotomy. I live in Ponteland with my wife. I have 1:1 and 2:1 support with a 24/7 care package.
I am looking for an enthusiastic and committed Personal Care Assistant to join my care team to cover a 1 x 12-hour day shift every week and a 1 x 10-hour sleep in every other week. We are looking for someone who is flexible and who is willing to cover for holidays/sickness.

Main Duties
1. To support with moving & handling and transfers with a full-bodied hoist for positional changes.
2. Personal Care to include, support with showering, bathing and dressing, oral care and toileting
3. Support with meals as I have a mashed diet
4. Administer medication via a PEG and manage the PEG
5. Tracheotomy care and oral suction
6. To support to access the local community and assistance via a specialist wheelchair.
7. Support to maintain a habitable home.

Out of pocket expenses will be met by the Employer (excluding travel to and from work). This post is subject to a satisfactory Enhanced DBS check and references (Cost to be met by Employer)
