We are now seeking to employ a highly experienced Freight Officer to join the KTrans team at our Welshpool Transport Operational Depot.

You will be accountable for:
* Adherence to SOPs and regulatory requirements
* Ensuring cargo is received in an orderly manner and to customers packaging guidelines.
* High standards of cargo care and safe load restraint practices
* Accurate completion of consignment notes
* Following company defect reporting process
* Accurate receival and timely dispatch of goods
* Completion of accurate and timely documentation via our TMS (Bustle, Freight Tracker, SAP) systems in accordance with KTrans freight preparation procedures
* Ensuring packaging requirements are noted and complied with, eg - fragile goods, dangerous goods, insufficient packaging
* Correct use of all consumable items so freight is fit for travel, eg - labels, consignments, cargo wrapping and manifesting
The Requirements:
* Current Forklift Licence and Load Restraint Awareness. (National Load Restraint ticket preferred)
* Current Driver's Licence
* Proven experience operating a forklift in a busy transport depot
* Proficiency in Bustle, Freight Tracker and Microsoft Office (preferred)
* Experience in warehouse, distribution, or transport operations
* High levels of attention to detail with commitment to cargo care
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
* Ability to plan, organise and prioritise workloads in a past-faced environment
* Problem solving and decision making capability under pressure
* In depth knowledge of safety, packaging and load restraint standards
* Strong understanding of WHS principles and commitment to safe work practices
* Ability to foster a culture of discipline, loyalty, accountability, honest and pride
