Overview
We are recruiting on behalf of a leading main contractor for an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of multiple civil infrastructure projects across the Thames Valley region. This role is ideal for a confident, hands-on Project Manager with strong technical knowledge and commercial acumen, seeking a long-term position with secured framework work and genuine career progression opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead project delivery, ensuring safety, quality, and commercial performance
*
Manage costs, budgets, and financial forecasting/reporting
*
Oversee programme development using Primavera P6 or similar tools
*
Chair site meetings and manage client and stakeholder relationships
*
Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards
*
Develop and maintain construction programmes, ITPs, and HSE documentation
*
Coordinate with design, engineering, procurement, and site teams
*
Resolve design queries, manage variations, and prepare project handover packs
*
Contribute to estimating and business development activity
Requirements
Essential:
*
Proven experience as a Project Manager or Senior Agent in civils/utilities
*
Strong commercial understanding (NEC contracts, EWN/CE processes)
*
Knowledge of CDM regs, programme and risk management
*
Degree or HNC in Civil Engineering (or equivalent)
*
SMSTS, CSCS Manager Card, NEBOSH Construction Certificate
*
MEICA understanding and ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams
*
Strong leadership, communication, and client-facing skills
*
Able to deliver high-value projects with minimal supervision
Desirable:
*
Chartered status (CEng MICE)
*
Knowledge of JCT contracts
*
Experience with pre-construction and project close-out
