Overview
This is a fixed term maternity position for 12 months. Must already have HCPC registration. We are looking for a highly motivated and innovative Clinical/Counselling Psychologist to join our friendly established multi-disciplinary team at CNWL.
CNWL supports psychological professions staff in pursuing leadership opportunities in senior roles. The professional group is led by our Director of Therapies and our Chief Psychologist. This role involves supervision and the opportunity to develop leadership skills within the Therapies pathway, collaborating across the wider MDT and hub.
Responsibilities
* Deliver therapy interventions for clients with complex mood problems, trauma and PTSD presentations, psychosis and complex emotional needs, using evidence-based approaches (MBT, DBT, CBT, CBTp, CFT and EMDR) within a Trauma-Informed ethos.
* Work with clients individually and in groups, and with carers and families as required; liaise with other key services and lived-experience practitioners.
* Develop professional post-graduate teaching, training and supervision skills; provide supervision to Assistant Psychologists and/or Clinical Associates in Psychology or junior colleagues.
* Contribute to consultation, training, and liaison across the Hub and MDT as part of the Therapies pathway.
* Engage in professional formulation and autonomous planning for the formal psychological treatment or management of clients’ problems within their context.
* Receive regular specialist supervision from the principal clinical psychologist and senior colleagues.
Qualifications
* Clinical/Counselling Psychologist with HCPC registration.
* Experience delivering psychological interventions and working with complex mental health difficulties; experience with complex trauma presentations is valuable.
* Strong communication, leadership and collaboration skills; ability to supervise and train junior staff.
