A well established and highly innovative engineering and manufacturing organisation is seeking an Indirect Procurement Manager to join its growing procurement function.
This is a broad business partnering role, working closely with operational, engineering and manufacturing stakeholders across a fast-paced environment. The organisation is continuing to evolve its procurement capability, making this an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys improving processes, influencing stakeholders and helping drive procurement maturity within a growing function.
The role will suit an individual with strong indirect procurement foundations who is comfortable operating within a hands-on environment where processes and systems are still developing.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead procurement activity across a range of indirect and operational spend categories including FM and wider business services
* Partner closely with engineering, manufacturing and operational teams to support procurement delivery across the site
* Support category management activity, supplier negotiations and contract management initiatives
* Drive process improvements across a procurement function that is still evolving in maturity
* Manage a high volume of procurement administration and operational sourcing activity
* Build credibility with stakeholders across technical and operational departments
* Support supplier performance management and ongoing commercial activity
Key Requirements:
* 3+ years’ experience across indirect procurement/category management within a manufacturing, engineering or industrial environment
* Experience managing indirect spend categories such as FM, operational services or technical spend areas
* Strong stakeholder management and communication skills with the confidence to challenge where required
* Comfortable working within a manual and process developing procurement environment
* Able to interface effectively with engineering and manufacturing stakeholders
* Degree of technical understanding or exposure to technical environments would be advantageous
