Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Arborist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of tree care and maintenance, ensuring the health and safety of trees within various landscapes. This role requires a hands-on approach, utilising both manual and powered tools to perform essential tasks in groundskeeping and landscape maintenance.
Duties
* Perform tree pruning, trimming, and removal as necessary to maintain tree health and aesthetics.
* Dig and prepare soil for planting new trees or shrubs, ensuring optimal conditions for growth.
* Irrigate trees and landscaped areas to promote healthy growth and prevent drought stress.
* Conduct regular inspections of trees to identify signs of disease or pest infestations.
* Maintain equipment and tools, including hand tools and power tools, ensuring they are in good working condition.
* Collaborate with landscape maintenance teams to enhance the overall appearance of outdoor spaces.
* Build supports or structures as needed for young or unstable trees to ensure their proper growth.
Skills
* Proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools relevant to arboriculture.
* Strong mechanical knowledge for maintaining equipment effectively.
* Experience in groundskeeping and landscape maintenance practices.
* Ability to dig effectively and prepare soil for planting.
* Knowledge of irrigation techniques to ensure proper watering of trees and gardens.
* Excellent observational skills to assess tree health and identify potential issues promptly.
* A passion for working outdoors and a commitment to environmental stewardship.
* Full UK driving license
* CSCS card desirable
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £35,210.00-£50,000.00 per year
