They are seeking a practical, hands-on Buildings Maintenance Engineer with both electrical and mechanical capability, and a strong background in joinery, to support the ongoing upkeep and improvement of their site. This role focuses on minor works, reactive maintenance, and planned improvements, ensuring buildings, fixtures, and facilities are maintained to a high standard. Key Responsibilities – Buildings Maintenance Engineer Carry out general building maintenance across the site, with a strong emphasis on joinery and carpentry works Undertake minor electrical and mechanical maintenance tasks (within competency and certification limits) Repair, modify, and install: Doors, frames, windows, flooring, partitions, and furniture Fixtures, fittings, and building fabric Support minor refurbishment and improvement projects Respond to reactive maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on building systems and assets Liaise with contractors where specialist works are required Maintain accurate records of completed works and materials used Ensure all work is completed in line with health & safety regulations and site procedures Skills & Experience – Buildings Maintenance Engineer Proven experience in a multi-skilled building maintenance role Strong joinery / carpentry background (essential) Working knowledge of electrical and mechanical maintenance Ability to carry out minor electrical works safely and competently Practical, hands-on approach with strong fault-finding skills Experience working within industrial or manufacturing environments (desirable) Ability to work independently and manage a varied workload
