Cost and operational effectiveness to support the adoption of new technologies is key to accelerating the business and technological benefits of the AWS platform. We're looking for a hands-on and motivated self-starter who is passionate about working directly with customers to help organizations adopt new processes, purchasing strategies, and cross-functional collaboration to embrace technologies at scale and ensure long-term customer success.
As Cloud Economics Financial Management BDM, you will engage with some of the largest customers globally to transform how they purchase, manage, and optimize IT services. You will work with customers’ Enterprise IT, Operations, and Finance teams to implement best practices for adoption and cost savings. Your responsibilities include generating recommendations on optimizing AWS usage, reengineering internal processes, and collaborating with partners for ongoing success. You should be experienced with large data sets, familiar with IT transformation in large organizations, and comfortable working directly with executive leadership. Excellent communication, customer relationship skills, analytical insights, and a passion for AWS are essential.
Key job responsibilities
1. Serve as a key member of the Business Development team to drive AWS marketing and sales engagements regarding IT infrastructure economics.
2. Collaborate with AWS Sales, BD, and Marketing teams to facilitate ROI/economic discussions with customers.
3. Assist the Sales team in creating detailed financial models for current and future IT landscapes.
4. Develop a repository of economic case studies and share learnings across AWS teams.
5. Provide market insights into customer perceptions of AWS's economic benefits relative to on-premise or traditional data centers.
6. Communicate market realities regarding the economics of cloud versus traditional data centers to internal stakeholders.
7. Prepare and present business reviews to senior management on cost and business value progress.

The AWS Cloud Economics team helps customers identify and quantify value creation opportunities during their cloud journey. We work directly with customers, partners, and internal teams to deliver cloud value advisory, business case development, and best practices in Cloud Financial Management.

Minimum qualifications
* 3+ years of business development, partnership management, or sourcing experience
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent
* Experience with data and metrics to drive improvements
Preferred experience
* Experience in online advertising or high-tech products/services
