Job Title: Coachbuilder\nLocation: Northamptonshire\nSalary: £19.43 p/h + Overtime\nWHAT TO EXPECT\nAs an experienced Coachbuilder, you will work as part of team of coachbuilders, repairing and constructing the Bodywork of a varied fleet of vehicles. Using your skills, you will be required weld and fabricate, restore and repair accident damaged vehicles using a variety of materials including, steel, aluminium, fiberglass and other composite materials.\nWHAT YOU’LL DO\nKey Responsibilities of the Coachbuilder\n * Design, fabricate, and assemble vehicle bodies and frames, including custom parts and panels\n * Restore and repair vehicles to original design while maintaining functionality and safety\n * Utilize traditional and modern metalworking tools (e.g., welding, cutting, shaping, and riveting) to build and modify vehicle bodies and structural components.\n * Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for both yourself, and your colleagues\n * Work alongside other skilled tradespeople, such as engineers, painters, upholsterers and electricians, to ensure a seamless and successful vehicle body repair and restoration\n * Inspect work for precision, accuracy, and quality, ensuring all work adheres to company and industry standards\nWHAT YOU’LL NEED\nKnowledge, Skills and Experience the Coachbuilder\n * Qualified or time served with proven experience in coachbuilding, metalworking, or a similar trade (e.g., vehicle restoration, fabrication).\n * Proficiency in using various hand tools, power tools, and machinery (e.g., welding equipment, grinders, and cutting tools).\n * Knowledge of different materials and their applications in vehicle bodywork, including metals, composites, and plastics.\n * A problem-solving mindset with the ability to troubleshoot and adapt during complex build or restoration projects.\n * Excellent attention to detail, craftsmanship, and precision in every aspect of the job.\nIf you are interested in this Coachbuilder role, please apply today
