We are seeking an enthusiastic PE Teacher to join an amazing secondary school in Peterborough. This is a full-time, temp-to-perm position, offering the opportunity to teach PE up to GCSE level in a supportive and high-achieving environment.
Responsibilities:
1. Deliver engaging practical and theory-based PE lessons to students up to GCSE level.
2. Plan, prepare, and assess lessons in line with the national curriculum.
3. Promote health, fitness, and teamwork, fostering a love for physical activity.
4. Support and motivate students of varying abilities to achieve their potential.
5. Ensure health and safety protocols are implemented in all PE activities.
6. Take an active role in extracurricular sports and school competitions.
7. Work collaboratively with colleagues to contribute to the school’s PE program.
Requirements:
8. QTS is not essential, but experience teaching both practical and theoretical PE is required.
9. A strong understanding of GCSE PE curriculum and assessment criteria.
10. Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
11. Strong classroom management skills and a passion for inspiring students.
12. Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.
