Solar PV Design Engineer X2 - Home based - Operator
Due to rapid growth in the energy sector, we have an exciting opportunity for a multi-skilled Solar PV Technical Design Engineer.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to take the next step in their career and make a significant impact on one of the world’s leading energy suppliers.
Key responsibilities include:
* Leading on designs including shading analysis, 3D modelling, electrical single-line diagrams, panel schedules, and connection diagrams, using AutoCAD software.
* Performing computer simulations of solar PV generation system performance to optimize efficiency.
* Reviewing and approving solar PV designs and recommending technical or process improvements.
What we need from you:
* 7-10 years of experience in Solar PV design.
* Engineering and design skills with proven experience on various PV schemes, both rooftop and ground mount.
* Familiarity with PV manufacturers and components.
* Experience in detailed design, wiring, containment, as-built drawings, scaffolding, and fall arrest/work restraint.
* Proficiency in PC software tools like MS Office, AutoCAD, PV*SOL/PVSyst, and modeling software, with willingness to learn new tools.
* Knowledge of relevant legislation concerning HSSE, construction, and services installation.
* Formal training and understanding of CDM responsibilities.
