An exciting opportunity has arisen at our Neath site due to the upcoming retirement of our long-standing Workshop Manager after many years of dedicated service. This creates a unique chance for a motivated and experienced professional to take on a key leadership role within our Vehicle Workshop team.
To ensure a smooth and supported transition, the successful candidate will receive a detailed handover and ongoing support from the current Workshop Manager, giving you the time and guidance needed to settle into the role with confidence.

About the role
As Vehicle Workshop Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of our busy vehicle maintenance operation. You’ll ensure all servicing, repairs, MOTs, ADR and insurance testing are completed safely, compliantly and to the highest standards.
You’ll lead a skilled team of technicians, balancing operational delivery with forward planning, cost control and continuous improvement. Your leadership will be key in keeping our fleet on the road and supporting the wider business.

Key responsibilities
* Manage the daily operation of the vehicle workshop.
* Plan and schedule maintenance activities in line with Transport Engineering standards.
* Ensure all work is completed safely, compliantly and efficiently.
* Lead, coach and motivate a team of vehicle technicians.
* Monitor performance and ensure high standards of workmanship.
* Manage budgets and control costs effectively.
* Liaise with internal stakeholders, Transport Engineering and external bodies (including VOSA).
* Respond to breakdowns and operational emergencies as required.
* Promote a strong safety culture across the workshop.
What we’re looking for
* Proven experience supervising or managing a team of vehicle technicians.
* Strong technical background (experience with LPG or petroleum vehicles desirable).
* Full Category C&E driving licence (ADR certificate desirable).
* Good IT and communication skills with the ability to plan, organise and prioritise effectively.
* A proactive, solutions-focused approach and a flexible team attitude.
* A leader who can build trust, support development and drive high standards.
