Main Duties of a Care Assistant:
Providing compassionate and dignified personal care (bathing, dressing, continence care etc.)
Assisting individuals to manage and take their medication (training provided)
Light domestic duties to help around the home and ensure a safe environment
Support individuals to access the community and local facilities
Assisting with moving and handling including the use of equipment such as hoists (training provided)
Providing emotional support and companionship to those in our care
Liaising with healthcare professionals and families regularly to provide updates, seek healthcare treatments or follow up on any concerns
To follow individual care plans, ensuring that all needs are met according to established guidelines and to regularly feedback to the Team Leader when updates are required.
Being resilient, attentive, and ensuring our residents are treated with the dignity and care they deserve
Maintain a clean, safe and homely environment for our residents, ensuring that all equipment is used properly and safely
To work positively within the team and be a can-do, pro-active contributor who can
Requirements:
As a values-based employer, we do not need you to have previous experience in a professional caring role, though it would be beneficial, as would any personal experience you may have provided care for others.
What is important to us is that you share our values, have a passion for helping others, can work positively within a team (even when things aren't easy) and bring joy and laughter to the role, both with those we support and those we work with.
We do also need you to:
Be eligible to work in the UK (Please note we do not offer Sponsorship)
Have strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written
A caring nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
Undertake an Enhanced DBS check (Paid for by us)
