Control Systems Engineer - The Role:
Design and specify control systems, safety solutions, and electrical components for advanced industrial automation
Develop electrical schematics and layouts using AutoCAD Electrical
Plan control system architecture and write technical specs & process flow diagrams
Collaborate closely with Design & Applications Engineers to ensure on-time, high-quality project delivery
Program PLC and industrial control systems (Siemens & Allen Bradley)
Conduct electrical testing on newly built machines
Commission systems at client sites in the UK and abroad (minimal travel – less than 5%)
Provide ongoing support and enhancements for installed control systems
Control Systems Engineer - The Person:
3+ years’ experience in PLC programming and electrical panel design
Strong grasp of machine safety standards and electrical regulations
Solid understanding of industrial communications (Profinet/Profibus, Ethernet/IP, TCP/IP, OPC, IO-Link, etc.)
A degree (2:1 or higher) in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
Interest or experience in robotics is a big plus

This is an office-based role easily commutable from within and around Reading, Didcot, Swindon and Oxford. Site work is required but will involve less than c5% of tie away from home.
