About the Paediatric Retrieval Service
The Paediatric Retrieval Service is part of the Specialist Transport and Retrieval Service for Scotland – ScotSTAR. ScotSTAR includes the Scottish Neonatal Transport Service, the Scottish Paediatric Retrieval Service, the Emergency Medical Retrieval Service (EMRS), and the Air Ambulance Service. Managed by the Scottish Ambulance Service, ScotSTAR conducts approximately 3,000 transfers annually, primarily using dedicated road ambulances, with some transfers via fixed wing and rotary wing aircraft provided by the Air Ambulance Service. The teams comprise experienced transport nurses, ANNPs, Nurse Consultants, Transport Fellows, and Consultant Neonatologists.
Job Opportunity
The Paediatric Team is seeking to expand its nursing workforce and is inviting applications from highly motivated individuals. The position is Band 7, and the successful candidate will provide high-quality care to children and their families. Candidates should have extensive paediatric intensive care and retrieval experience. This role also includes responsibilities as the Operational Lead for the Paediatric team, with specific managerial duties. The vacancy is open to Registered Nurses (adult/child branch).
Location
This position is based at Glasgow Airport.
