Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Evening Chef (Main Chef) to take full responsibility for preparing and cooking food during evening service. This is a hands-on role where you will lead by example in the kitchen, ensuring every dish is prepared to a high standard of quality, taste, and presentation. You will play a key role in delivering an excellent dining experience through your cooking skills and leadership.
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook all menu items during evening service to a consistently high standard.
* Take full responsibility for the quality, taste, and presentation of dishes served.
* Ensure efficient and timely food preparation during busy service periods.
* Maintain strict food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness standards at all times.
* Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering and stock control.
* Minimise food waste and ensure proper storage of ingredients.
* Supervise and support other kitchen staff where required.
* Ensure all kitchen equipment is used safely and maintained correctly.
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Chef or Main Chef in a busy restaurant or catering environment.
* Strong practical cooking skills and ability to work independently during evening service.
* Good knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.
* Ability to perform well under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen.
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
* Passion for cooking and delivering high-quality dishes.
