We are looking to recruit a Geography teacher to deliver the subject to our senior pupils. The postholder will work closely with the History teacher under the Humanities umbrella.

Teaching Responsibilities:
The list below is not exhaustive but gives a good indication of the key responsibilities of the job.
1. Delivery of Geography throughout our senior school from S1 to S6.
2. Development and delivery of courses in line with the Scottish Curriculum for Excellence, National 5, Higher and Advanced Higher.
3. Reporting on progress and achievements of pupils orally and in writing.
4. Organisation of assessment, coursework and other SQA materials as required by the SQA coordinator.
5. To develop strategies with colleagues to aid transition points within the whole school
Wider Responsibilities:
6. The organisation of the Geography budget and resourcing.
7. To review and update the Departmental Handbook.
8. To lead trips outwith school in line with school policy.
9. Participation in our co-curricular programme which will reflect the skills and interests of the incumbent.
10. To actively support the marketing and promotion of the school.
11. To assist with boarding duties once a week on a rota basis for part of the academic year.
12. To act as a Form Teacher as required.
