Senior Support Worker role within CareTech’s Welcoming Home in Birmingham, supporting young people aged 8‑18 with daily routines, emotional well‑being and developing skills for future lives.

* Contract – Full time

* Working hours – 40 per week
* Salary – Up to £34,779 (depending on experience and qualification)

What You’ll Do
* Support young people with daily routines: getting ready for school, meal preparation and planning activities.
* Create a warm, homely environment by assisting with light housekeeping.
* Lead shift and deputise the home manager.
* Build strong, meaningful relationships and provide emotional support.
* Plan and join fun activities such as trips to the park, popcorn & movie nights, and creative projects.
* Keep essential records to ensure the best possible care.
Who You Are
* Warm, patient, a great listener and encourager – focused on achieving outcomes for others.
* Hold a full UK driving licence.
* Hold a minimum of NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare and at least two years of working experience in a residential setting.
