ABOUT THE ROLE
Your role as a Kitchen Assistant involves supporting the catering function through food preparation and maintaining a clean environment to ensure the safe production of beverages and meals. You will help deliver high-quality and comprehensive service to residents.
Additional responsibilities include:
* Understanding the principles of safe food handling to maintain the highest standards of hygiene during all food preparations.
* Contributing fully to team efforts, responding positively to colleagues, and promptly acting on all reasonable work instructions.
* Advising on the supply and quality of items used in tasks, ensuring timely and appropriate ordering of replacement goods.
* Respecting the dignity and individuality of each resident when interacting with residents and their visitors.
ABOUT YOU
To succeed in this role, you should embody our values of caring, supportive, honest, respectful, and accountable in all your actions.
Our ideal candidate will:
* Hold a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate and demonstrate high standards of personal hygiene.
* Have knowledge of Health and Safety, including Moving and Handling techniques, Fire Safety, and COSHH assessments.
* Be an efficient worker capable of sustained physical effort and able to respond to a demanding workload.
* Show initiative and possess a positive, flexible attitude towards team working.
* Exhibit a caring and understanding attitude towards residents.
