Job Summary
The Fitness Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the fitness facility, ensuring a high standard of service and member satisfaction. This role involves managing staff, developing fitness programmes, and implementing sales strategies to enhance membership growth. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities and excellent communication skills to foster a positive environment for both staff and members.
Responsibilities
* Lead and manage a team of fitness professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance.
* Develop and implement fitness programmes that meet the needs of diverse members.
* Oversee daily operations, including scheduling staff, managing inventory, and ensuring cleanliness and safety standards are upheld.
* Drive membership sales through effective marketing strategies and exceptional customer service.
* Maintain strong relationships with members, addressing their concerns and feedback promptly.
* Conduct regular training sessions for staff to enhance their skills in customer service, sales techniques, and fitness knowledge.
* Monitor financial performance and assist with budgeting to ensure profitability.
* Utilise merchandising techniques to promote fitness products and services effectively.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the facility.
Prerequisites
* Proven experience in a management role within the fitness or retail industry.
* Supervising experience with a focus on team management and leadership.
* Strong organisational skills with excellent time management abilities.
* Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written; bilingual or multilingual abilities are advantageous.
* Familiarity with administrative tasks including scheduling, reporting, and record keeping.
* Proficient in phone etiquette to handle member inquiries professionally.
* Knowledge of merchandising principles to effectively promote products within the facility. The Fitness Manager plays a crucial role in creating an engaging environment that encourages members to achieve their fitness goals while ensuring operational excellence.

Pay: £30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
