Job responsibilities Maintaining a welcoming environment for patients and their relatives. Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team including doctors, nursing staff, pharmacists, transport teams and other professionals. Work under the supervision of registered nurses to support the delivery of safe, high-quality care to patients in the Discharge Lounge. Contribute to a positive patient experience by providing compassionate, person-centred care.
Assist patient with their comfort and wellbeing while waiting in the discharge Lounge. Assist in maintaining a safe, clean, and organised clinical. Clinical Assist patients with mobility, nutrition and personal care in line with their individual needs. Help prepare patients for discharge, including supporting them with packing belongings, mobility to transport areas, and basic information sharing where appropriate.
Maintain privacy, dignity, and respect for all patients at all times. Monitor patients for any changes in condition and report concerns promptly to a registered nurse. Accurately record and report information relating to care under the guidance of a registered nurse. Quality and Improvement Follow all relevant Trust policies, procedures, and infection prevention and control measures.
Participate in quality improvement activities as appropriate to the role. Be actively involved in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and tidiness in the lounge area.
