The project goal is simple: take a live WordPress (WooCommerce) or Shopify site that is failing CWV and implement all necessary technical changes to bring its key metrics (LCP, FID/INP, CLS) into the "Good" range, as validated by Google PageSpeed Insights/Lighthouse reports. You will be paid per site that successfully achieves the passing criteria. Key Responsibilities (Implementation Focused) Diagnostic Review: Analyze the initial diagnostic report provided by sgnl inc (showing the failed CWV metrics). WordPress Optimization: For WP sites, implement advanced speed fixes: Setup/Tuning of premium caching plugins (e.g., WP Rocket, LiteSpeed). Critical CSS generation and optimization (removing unused CSS). Image optimization, lazy loading, and ensuring proper sizing/WebP format delivery. JavaScript and CSS deferral/minification. Addressing font loading and render-blocking resources. Shopify Optimization: For Shopify sites, implement fixes within platform limitations: Theme code audits to remove unused sections or bloated liquid code. App stack consolidation and deferral of non-critical app JavaScript. Image file size and delivery optimization (using the Liquid Image API). Final Validation: Provide screenshot evidence and a link to a final, live Google PageSpeed Insights report confirming the achievement of a passing score for Core Web Vitals. Required Experience & Skills (Non-Negotiable) Proven Track Record: Must show 3-5 examples of live websites you have personally optimized to achieve a "Good" rating for Core Web Vitals (LCP under 2.5s, CLS under 0.1, INP under 200ms). Deep Platform Mastery: Expert-level knowledge of WordPress (specifically WooCommerce) and/or Shopify theme structure and code. Tools Proficiency: Fluent in using PageSpeed Insights, Lighthouse, WebPageTest, and Chrome DevTools to diagnose and isolate speed issues. Independent Fixer: Must be able to take a problem and execute the full solution without extensive hand-holding.
