Actual Salary £32,916 to £45,352 per annum (M1 to M6)

It is offered on a Temporary fixed term basis until end of spring term to cover staff absence.
Approximate start date January 2026
We are looking for someone who can provide high-quality teaching and learning in Criminology, Sociology, and Psychology during staff absence, ensuring continuity of education and maintaining high standards in line with the school’s ethos and curriculum requirements.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver lessons in Criminology, Sociology, and Psychology that follow existing schemes of work and meet curriculum objectives.
* Adapt lesson plans to suit the needs of all learners, including those with SEND and EAL.
* Prepare appropriate resources and materials to support effective learning.
* Mark and assess student progress and provide feedback where appropriate.
Essential Requirements
* Degree or A-level in a relevant subject (Criminology, Sociology, Psychology or related field).
* Excellent lesson planning and classroom management skills.
* Ability to adapt quickly and work flexibly in a cover role.
* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.
Desirable
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
* Previous experience teaching Criminology, Sociology, and Psychology at KS4/KS5.
