Cashier Vacancy in Newry
MCS Group is delighted to be partnering with a well-established organisation based in Newry to recruit for a Cashier on a full time, permanent basis.
The Company:
This company is one of the leading suppliers in their industry servicing across both the UK & Ireland. They have a large finance team based in Newry & are looking for an additional cashier to join their team.
Job Duties of the Cashier:
* Collect, record, and reconcile daily cash takings from all departments.
* Prepare and post bank lodgements, issue cheques, and handle sundry lodgements with proper documentation.
* Maintain and reconcile petty cash transactions.
* Perform general cashier duties (e.g., stamps, lodgement bags/books, till float updates).
* Liaise with departments/branches to resolve cheque and petty cash queries.
* Provide administrative support and reporting to the Senior Company Accountant.
* Offer cover in other departments when needed.
What you need to be the successful Cashier?
* Confident in the use of computers and systems
* Bank reconciliation experience
* Good knowledge in cashier process
* Strong attention to detail
