WSR are looking for a part-time HR Advisor to join the team of our esteemed client based in Milton Keynes.

Hours: Part Time (22.5 hours per week)

Salary: £23 - £25 per hour

Reporting to: HR Business Partner / Head of HR

Location: Milton Keynes (with travel to Corby and occasionally London)

To provide a proactive, high-quality HR advisory service to managers and employees across the organisation, supporting the implementation of HR policies and procedures while promoting best practice and compliance with employment legislation.

Key responsibilities

Provide HR advice and guidance to managers on all HR and employee relations matters, ensuring compliance with company policies and employment law.
Attend and support formal meetings such as disciplinary, grievance, absence, and flexible working meetings, ensuring accurate documentation and timely follow-up.
Assist HR Administrators during busy periods (e.g. payroll, onboarding) and help identify improvements in administrative processes and templates.
Collaborate with colleagues to improve employee engagement, retention, and performance across the business.
Support recruitment and resourcing activities in partnership with the People Acquisition team, including interviewing and candidate coordination.
Qualifications and Experience

Degree educated (or equivalent qualification in HR or related discipline).
Based in or near Milton Keynes, with flexibility to travel to Corby and London when required.
Proven experience in a generalist HR role managing a range of HR issues from end to end.
Confident supporting managers with employee relations cases (performance, disciplinary, grievance, absence, etc.).
Experience supporting recruitment processes and interviewing candidates.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills with a diplomatic and positive attitude.
Specific Knowledge and Skills

Strong understanding of UK employment law and HR best practice.
Excellent written communication skills, including the ability to draft clear, concise letters and policies.
High attention to detail, with strong organisational and time management skills.
Competent in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Proactive, flexible, and adaptable to changing demands.
Team player with a “can do” attitude, happy to assist across HR functions.
Able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
