Join to apply for the One Stop - Customer Service Assistant role at One Stop Stores Ltd. We’re looking for a Customer Service Assistant to join our team at One Stop, a subsidiary of Tesco. You will work in a fast-paced retail environment where no day is the same.
You will play an important role in the day-to-day operations of store activities by providing excellent customer service, stocking shelves, processing payments and helping maintain the store’s appearance. The customer is at the heart of everything we do, so you will look for ways to improve service through on-the-job coaching and feedback. With your guidance, your store will remain a safe place to work and shop.
Responsibilities
* You know your customers and serve them with passion and pride, providing great natural service.
* Encourage customers to give feedback by completing the ‘have your say’ survey.
* Work across all areas of the store including online, tills, replenishment, vending and stock routines to meet customer needs.
* Apply training to ensure safe working practices.
* Participate in seasonal, community and charity events to create a welcoming atmosphere.
* Be knowledgeable about store performance and understand the role in delivering profit.
* Represent the store values, make customers and colleagues feel welcome, and follow policies.
* Clock in and out at the start and end of shifts to ensure accurate payment for hours worked.
* Follow security procedures and wear safety equipment where available to keep everyone safe.
* Follow the Think 25 policy when serving age-restricted products.
* Respond quickly to assistance calls or interventions on self-service checkouts, explaining actions to customers.
* Maintain a clean, tidy and organized store; keep aisles clear of congestion.
* May be responsible for running the shift in the absence of the Shift Leader or Store Manager.
* Follow all training to keep yourself, others and the store safe and compliant with the law.
* If applicable, duties may include Post Office Local operations; this may require a financial and criminal conviction background check, which must be passed to proceed with the role.
